These are some of the more frequently asked questions.

1.  AOL browser doesn't show the most recent page on a website.

The refresh button in AOL may not always display the most recent changes to a web page.  Just hold down the CTRL key and click your refresh button at the same time. This forces the AOL server to grab a fresh copy of the web page rather than showing you what is cached. And if that still doesn't show you the current page, clear the temporary files on your computer.

2.  Getting pop-up ads?

Chances are if you have a relatively new computer you may already have pop-up blocker software and just need to set it up. Start by checking the Tools menu in your browser. Also run your virus scanner!

3.  Internet Spies?

As you surf the internet, unsolicited commercial software can be installed on your computer without your knowledge. These unwanted files can cause system instability (is your browser slower than usual?), add unwanted advertising, spy on everything you do on the web, or compromise security.

Tools you can use: Ad-Aware by Lavasoft and once you have a clean computer, try SpywareBlaster from  JavaCoolSoftware. Use at your own risk.
